Following the recent success of the charity event at Gaia on 4th January to raise funds for a water project in Thailand, Jane Rolfe, Trudy Murray and the team at Gaia are now holding regular Friday afternoon teas to raise further funds for the project.

Every Friday between 12:00 and 19:00 (throughout February and March) you can enjoy delicious scones and cream, little sandwiches and cakes with tea or coffee for 10€ per person at the Gaia Natural Shop in Palma.

Jane is raising the funds for her daughter Anni, with fellow Gordonstoun Sixth Form students, to travel to Thailand during the summer holidays to build much needed water tanks in a remote village.

CLICK HERE to see a little video from the students who helped a village with the same project last year.

Everyone welcome!

I am always on the lookout for great ideas, information and recipes for healthy eating, so was thrilled when my friend Anne Scott, Global Community Manager for Girl Gone International told me about a great website called La Dolce Eater, run by two advocates for looking and feeling good through healthy and nutritious food, Nicola Tordoff-Sohne and Mara Pellizzari. It has very interesting posts which include some delicious and healthy recipes and they are currently running a superb offer of a FREE download of their new 96 page e-book, “7 Days of Superfood on a Budget“.

I am always a little sceptical about anything that is for FREE, but this really is excellent. It is well written with beautiful and tempting photographs, superfood information and simple recipes that include easy to find ingredients that most of us already use. So, if you are looking to start 2013 on a healthier note, this is well worth a look.
